The Granite City Lumberjacks had a three-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 5-1 win over the Breezy Point North Stars.

Granite City pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 24 penalty minutes.

The Lumberjacks were sparked by Blake Phenow, who registered one goal. Phenow scored 14:50 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Granite City. Ryan Carriveau provided the assist.

Granite City forced Breezy Point goalie Erikur Arnason to work between the pipes, taking 35 shots.
