The Metro Jets gutted out a close 4-3 win against the Toledo Cherokee.

No lead was more than one goal during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Michael Lawrence at 15:50 of the third period.

Lawrence had two goals to lead Metro to victory.

The Jets managed to stay out of the box better than usual, finishing with one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Metro finished below its season average of 19.0 penalty minutes per game.

Metro additionally got points from Matt Stirling, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Alex Holm also scored for Metro. In addition, Metro received assists from Chris Mayer, who had two and Mitchell Krust, Devon D'Angelo, Kyle Shreve, and Mike Gambino, who contributed one a piece.

Toledo excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances.
