The Three Rivers Vengeance tried their best to erase a two-goal deficit, but the Flint Jr. Generals would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 3-2. Flint took a 3-1 lead during the second period, only to have Three Rivers storm back on a Alex Berardinelli goal 8:04 into the third period to pull to one goal down. Eric Jones was all over the ice for the Jr. Generals, as he finished with two goals in the win. Flint stifled the Vengeance's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Jr. Generals kept Three Rivers' goalie busy throughout the game, and Matthew Erlichman made 31 saves on 34 shots. Zachery Hill also scored for Flint. Other players who recorded assists for Flint were Adrain Larsson, Nicholas Goetel, Robert Click, Ian Teal, Jacob Howie, and Andrew Lay, who contributed one a piece. The Vengeance's offense rang up 32 shots on Flint's net. Three Rivers also got a goal from Tyler Berry as well. More assists for Three Rivers came via Brooks Antill, Tyler Stockwell, and Nico Vecchio, who each chipped in one. Anders Franke recorded 30 saves for the Jr. Generals. Flint incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Three Rivers incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
