The Cleveland Jr. Lumberjacks had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 5-1 win over the Michigan Mountain Cats. Cameron Dimmitt had one goal and two assists to lead Cleveland. Dimmitt scored 11:58 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Cleveland. The Jr. Lumberjacks' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Michigan power plays. Cleveland forced Michigan goalie Spencer Craig to work between the pipes, taking 44 shots. Cleveland additionally got points from Scott Cuthrell, who also grabbed one goal and one assist and Andrew Mitch, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Jeff Monfils also scored for Cleveland. In addition, Cleveland received assists from Dominic Valencia, who had one and Andrew Sprouse, who had two. The Mountain Cats were led by William Helton II, who scored the team's only goal.
