St. Louis outlasts Quad City, 5-3Affton Ice Rink Sun, Mar 03, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
The game between the St. Louis Jr. Blues and the Quad City Jr. Flames was tight through all 60 minutes, but in the end St. Louis emerged with a 5-3 win. Each team kept the other at bay throughout the game, and Justin Rehrer secured the win for the Jr. Blues with a goal in the second period. Rehrer had a great game for St. Louis, netting two goals. Quad City was unable to stop the Jr. Blues from sending pucks towards the net, and St. Louis eventually piled up 50 shots on goal. St. Louis additionally got points from Sam Turner, who also had one goal and one assist. Victor Gortz also scored for St. Louis. In addition, St. Louis received assists from Cody Guidorzi, who had two and Kyle Meeh, Lukas Daniels, Tommy Heinzman, Simon Koscielski, and Brycon Johnson, who contributed one a piece. The Jr. Flames were helped by Owen Ahlstrom, who registered one goal. Ahlstrom scored 10:19 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Quad City. Zach Turner assisted on the tally.
