The Twin City Steel took the lead against the North Iowa Bulls in the first period and maintained it until the end of the game to secure a tight 6-4 victory. Twin City took over the lead for good with a goal by Marvin Powell at 13:18 in the first period. Sam Gottfredsen provided the assist.With three goals and two assists between them, Tom Bartel and Shane Hill teamed up to power the Steel's offense.
