Cuthrell leads Cleveland over Three Rivers, 7-2

Scott Cuthrell had five goals and one assist to lead the Cleveland Jr. Lumberjacks to a 7-2 victory over the Three Rivers Vengeance.

Cuthrell got on the scoresheet 1:29 into the first period. He then added goals at 9:41 into the first, at 16:35 into the first, at 14:52 into the second, and at 13:37 into the third.

Cleveland also got points from Nick Balavich, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Toms Taurins also scored for Cleveland. Other players who recorded assists for Cleveland were Cameron Dimmitt, who had two, Andrew Mitch, who had three, and Kyle Gonzalez, Bo Zinner, Jake Roeper, Fred West, and Zach Seither, who each chipped in one.

Three Rivers kept Cleveland's goalie busy throughout the game, and Joseph Moza made 29 saves on 31 shots.

The Vengeance were helped by Alex Berardinelli, who had one goal. Berardinelli scored 8:02 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Gavin Cummings picked up the assist. Three Rivers also got a goal from Damien Lona as well. In addition, Three Rivers received assists from Ian Wood and Nico Vecchio, who contributed one a piece.

The Jr. Lumberjacks incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Tyler Stepke took the loss and made 14 saves before being replaced by Nate Mortland who made two saves. Three Rivers incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
