Peterson's big game bests Breezy Point in 7-4 Twin City win

Brody Peterson was all over the ice for the Twin City Steel, as he tallied one goal and three assists in Twin City's 7-4 win over the Breezy Point North Stars.

Peterson got on the board by slotting home a goal 15:15 into the second period to make the score 5-3 Twin City. Bryson Jasper picked up the assist.

The Steel kept Breezy Point's goalie busy throughout the game, and Walker Enstad made 24 saves on 31 shots. Twin City bested its season scoring average. The Steel have scored at the pace of 3.6 goals per game during the current campaign. Twin City was forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as it racked up 28 penalty minutes. The Steel's defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals.

Twin City also got points from Tony Buchal, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, Nick Cerrato, who also had one goal and one assist, AJ Merritt, who also finished with one goal and two assists, and Kegan Storjohann, who also registered one goal and three assists to lead the team in points. Twin City also got a goal from Tom Bartel as well. More assists for Twin City came via Marvin Powell, Jordan Schwandt, Shane Hill, and Ryan McAloon, who each chipped in one.

The North Stars' goal total was higher than their season average. This season, Breezy Point averages 1.9 goal per contest.

The North Stars were led by Crosby Steen, who racked up three goals. Jonathon Plaszcz also scored for Breezy Point. In addition, Breezy Point received assists from Tyler Reichl, who had two and Billy Foy, Kyle Pacheco, Austin Williams, and Kyle Eberwein, who contributed one a piece.

Joey Garapolo made 25 saves for Twin City on 29 shots. The Steel registered two goals on six power play opportunities. Breezy Point incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors.
