North Iowa rolls over Minnesota, 4-1

The Minnesota Flying Aces had trouble finding ways to stop the North Iowa Bulls, which beat Flying Aces, 4-1.

North Iowa was led by Patrick Sivets, who registered one goal. Sivets scored on the power play 14:04 into the second period to make the score 2-0 North Iowa. The Bulls had taken the advantage when Minnesota's Payton Trammel got sent off for tripping. Tony Paulson assisted on the tally.

North Iowa did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. The Bulls average 6.3 goals per game. North Iowa forced the Flying Aces goalie Jared Stearns to work between the pipes, taking 32 shots.

Eric Behrend also scored for North Iowa. Other players who recorded assists for North Iowa were Ron Lindgren, who had three and Tyler Burg, Kyle Krueger, Matt Kroska, and Timothy Santopoalo, who each chipped in one.

Minnesota was led by Andre Pison, who scored the team's only goal. Pison scored on the power play 15:43 into the third period to make the score 3-1 North Iowa. The Flying Aces earned a power play opportunity when Behrend was put in the box for tripping. Jared Sprink picked up the assist.

Matthew Bartels made 23 saves for the Bulls on 24 shots. North Iowa incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Stearns rejected 28 shots on goal for Minnesota. The Flying Aces incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
