Alexandria downs Twin City, 5-2

Garrett Skinner grabbed two points to lead the Alexandria Blizzard to a 5-2 victory over the Twin City Steel.

Alexandria forced Twin City's netminders to work all game long, totaling 34 shots and forcing 29 saves. Sawyer Marshall made 18 stops and Parker Butler made 11.

Alexandria additionally got points from Richie Brown, who also finished with one goal and one assist and Ricky Seidel, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Alexandria also got a goal from Chayce Coenen as well. Other players who recorded assists for Alexandria were Ian Eckland, who had two and Danny Pelzer, Kyle Kuntz, Tanner Duffney, Sergey Erileev, and Drake Hunter, who contributed one a piece.

The Steel's offense rang up 31 shots on the Blizzard's net.

Twin City was helped by Ryan McAloon, who tallied one goal. McAloon scored short handed 16:01 into the first period to make the score 1-1. The Steel were on a disadvantage when Isaac Hale went off the ice for hooking. Marvin Powell also scored for Twin City. In addition, Twin City received assists from Calvin Miska and Shane Hill, who each chipped in one.

Kyle Miller recorded 29 saves for Alexandria. The Blizzard totaled 21 minutes in penalty time with three minors and one major and went 0-for-2 on the power play. Twin City incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
