The Queen City Steam tried their best to erase a three-goal deficit, but the St. Louis Jr. Blues would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 3-1.

St. Louis took a 3-0 lead during the third period, only to have Queen City storm back on a Jonah Hoover goal 18:20 into the third period to pull to two goals down.

The Jr. Blues were paced by Kyle Meeh, who grabbed one goal. Meeh scored on the power play 13:38 into the second period to make the score 2-0 St. Louis. St. Louis had taken the advantage when the Steam's Taylor Penman got sent off for checking from behind. Trace Jablin provided the assist.
