The Battle Creek Revolution gutted out a close 5-4 win against the Flint Jr. Generals.

Neither team gained more than a two-goal lead, and Forest Walbeck's goal in the third period proved to be the difference maker.

Walbeck had two goals and one assist to lead Battle Creek. Walbeck scored the first of his two goals at 19:48 into the second period to make the score 4-4. Kyle Ward picked up the assist. Walbeck's next tally made the score 5-4 Battle Creek with 1:39 left in the third period. Stephen Comperchi assisted on the tally.

The Revolution forced Flint's netminders to work between the pipes, finishing with 32 shots and forcing 27 saves. Ted Barile made seven stops and Ryan Running made 20.
