Austin Wilson was superb between the pipes for the Granite City Lumberjacks, as he did not allow a goal in a 4-0 victory over the Breezy Point North Stars. Zac Sikich was all over the ice for Granite City, as he finished with two goals in the win. Sikich scored at 15:38 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Granite City and again while 6:23 into the second to make the score 3-0 Granite City. The Lumberjacks put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Breezy Point to score on any of its five power plays. Granite City featured an improved defense during the game. The Lumberjacks gives up 2.4 goals on average per game. Granite City kept the North Stars' goalie busy throughout the game, and Erikur Arnason made 28 saves on 32 shots. The Lumberjacks could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 26 minutes in penalties during the game.
