A stellar performance between the pipes by Chase Wilson helped the Alexandria Blizzard defeat the Twin City Steel, 4-1. Alexandria was paced by Tanner Duffney, who registered one goal. Duffney scored 5:21 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Alexandria. Richie Brown assisted on the tally. The Blizzard were often in penalty trouble, totaling five minors and three majors for 35 minutes in penalty time. Alexandria surpassed its season average of 27.0 penalty minutes per game. The Blizzard's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Twin City power plays. Twin City was unable to stop Alexandria from sending pucks towards the net, and the Blizzard eventually piled up 34 shots on goal. Others who scored for Alexandria included Sergey Erileev, who had one and Ricky Seidel, who had two. In addition, Alexandria received assists from Ian Eckland, who had two and Austin Rudnick, Danny Pelzer, Garrett Skinner, and Mick Dhein, who each chipped in one. The Steel were relatively well disciplined in the game, receiving only four minors and three majors for 23 minutes in penalty time.
