North Iowa rolls over Breezy Point, 7-2

The Breezy Point North Stars had trouble finding ways to stop the North Iowa Bulls, which beat North Stars, 7-2.

Taylor Brown had one goal and three assists to lead North Iowa. Brown scored 10:24 into the second period to make the score 5-1 North Iowa.

Breezy Point was unable to stop the Bulls from sending pucks towards the net, and North Iowa eventually piled up 39 shots on goal.

North Iowa additionally got points from Eric Behrend, who also had one goal and one assist and Tony Paulson, who also racked up one goal and two assists. North Iowa also got a goal from Andrew Halama as well. More assists for North Iowa came via Matt Kroska, who had two and Jake Johnson, Kyle Krueger, and James Hughes, who each chipped in one.

The North Stars were led by Connor Cooley, who finished with one goal. Cooley scored on the power play 17:23 into the first period to make the score 3-1 North Iowa. Breezy Point had gotten the advantage when the Bulls' Halama was sent off for roughing. Bo Borowski picked up the assist. Crosby Steen also scored for Breezy Point. Other players who recorded assists for Breezy Point were Austin Cline, Austin Williams, and Kyle Eberwein, who contributed one a piece.

Matthew Bartels recorded 20 saves for North Iowa. The Bulls incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. The North Stars' Erikur Arnason stopped 32 shots out of the 39 that he faced. Breezy Point incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
