Stephen Comperchi scored the clinching goal in a shootout, and the Battle Creek Revolution picked up the extra point in a 4-3 (2-1 SO) win over the Queen City Steam. The two teams needed nine turns to complete the shootout. Queen City got a shootout goal from Henry Smith. Battle Creek also got a shootout goal from Joey Lioy.The Revolution saw a two-goal lead disappear, but was able to secure the win in a shootout. Battle Creek made the score 2-0 on a power play goal by Lioy at 16:14 in the second period. The Steam evened things up at 3-3 on a power play goal by Eric Tucker at 11:08 in the third period. The Revolution's penalty kill excelled, as Battle Creek gave up one goal despite allowing seven power plays. Queen City was unable to stop the Revolution from sending pucks towards the net, and Battle Creek eventually piled up 42 shots on goal. The Revolution were led by Tevor Clark, who had one goal and one assist. Clark scored 11:09 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Battle Creek. Derek Dodge provided the assist. Battle Creek additionally got points from Tucker, who also tallied one goal and one assist. The Steam's offense rang up 44 shots on Battle Creek's net. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals. Queen City was helped by Emil Sundstrom, who grabbed one goal. Sundstrom scored 6:11 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Battle Creek. Robert Gentile assisted on the tally. Queen City also got points from Gentile, who also finished with one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Trevor Voelker also scored for Queen City.
