The Metro Jets could not stop the Three Rivers Vengeance's Nico Vecchio, who tallied a hat trick in a 6-4 win.

Vecchio's first goal came 3:31 into the second period. He then added goals at 5:05 into the third and at 19:08 into the third.

Metro's power play was ineffective against Three Rivers' penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded.

The Vengeance were often in penalty trouble, totaling 10 minors and three majors for 35 minutes in penalty time. Three Rivers surpassed its season average of 30.0 penalty minutes per game.
