A stellar performance between the pipes by Tyler Stepke helped the Three Rivers Vengeance defeat the Metro Jets, 4-1. Three Rivers pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 24 penalty minutes. The Vengeance were led by Chase Leonelli, who grabbed one goal. Leonelli scored 6:55 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Three Rivers. Stephen Budkey provided the assist. Three Rivers forced Metro's netminders to work without much rest, ripping 31 shots and forcing 27 saves. Trevor Kalinowski made zero stops and Alex Nedeljkovic made 27. Three Rivers additionally got points from Tom Diffendal, who also had one goal and one assist and Nico Vecchio, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Thomas Leistner also scored for Three Rivers. In addition, Three Rivers received assists from Alex Berardinelli, who had one and Robbie Sigurdsson, who had two.
