Allen Patten was superb between the pipes for the Minnesota Flying Aces, as he did not allow a goal in a 4-0 victory over the Twin City Steel. Minnesota was paced by Payton Trammel, who registered one goal. Trammel scored 9:53 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Minnesota. Dylan Nelson provided the assist. The Flying Aces excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. Minnesota's offense rang up 35 shots on Twin City's net. Minnesota also got points from Nelson, who also racked up one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Minnesota also got a goal from Andre Pison as well. More assists for Minnesota came via Alec Brandup, who had one and Jared Sprink, who had two. The Steel could not produce up to they normal offensive output.
