The game between the Flint Jr. Generals and the Cleveland Jr. Lumberjacks was tight through all 60 minutes, but in the end Flint emerged with a 4-2 win.

The Jr. Generals gained the winning advantage on a goal by James Odom 19:06 into the second period and hung on until final buzzer.

Flint was led by Eric Jones, who registered two goals. Jones scored the first of his two goals at 6:17 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Flint. Andrew Lay provided the assist. Jones' next tally made the score 2-0 Flint with 4:27 left in the first period. An interference penalty on Dominic Valencia had put the Jr. Generals on the power play. Austin Fletcher assisted on the tally. Flint additionally got points from Fletcher, who also had one goal and one assist.
