Levi Armstrong had two goals to lead the Peoria Mustangs to a 6-0 victory over the Breezy Point North Stars.

Armstrong scored at 4:36 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Peoria and again while 9:33 into the second to make the score 2-0 Peoria.

Alex Reichle spearheaded the defensive effort for Peoria, as he did not allow a puck past him and made 28 saves for the shutout. Reichle certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 3.71 entering the contest.

The Mustangs excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. Peoria's defense was surprisingly good. The Mustangs allow 2.9 goals per game. Peoria surpassed its usual scoring output this season. The Mustangs average 3.0 goals per game.

Breezy Point stifled Peoria's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

The Mustangs incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Ian Shidlofsky recorded 14 saves for the North Stars. Breezy Point incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
