The Metro Jets tried their best to erase a two-goal deficit, but the Michigan Mountain Cats would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 4-3.

Michigan took a 4-2 lead during the third period, only to have Metro storm back on a Matt Stirling goal 9:58 into the third period to pull to one goal down.

The Mountain Cats were led by Guy Soulliere, who grabbed one goal. Soulliere scored 7:58 into the third period to make the score Michigan.

Michigan forced the Jets goalie Alex Nedeljkovic to work between the pipes, taking 33 shots.

Michigan also got a goal from John Arms as well. More assists for Michigan came via Eric Keljo, Austin Sartorius, Bryan Davis, and Ethan Baker, who contributed one a piece.

Metro was helped by Alex Holm, who racked up one goal. Holm scored on the power play 6:00 into the third period to make the score 3-2 Michigan. A roughing penalty on Sartorius had put the Jets on the power play. Ryan Chapie provided the assist.
