Robbie Sigurdsson had one point to lead the Three Rivers Vengeance to a 5-2 victory over the Toledo Cherokee.

Three Rivers' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Toledo power plays. The Vengeance kept Toledo's goalie busy throughout the game, and Nathan Miller made 30 saves on 35 shots.

Three Rivers also got points from Alex Berardinelli, who also tallied one goal and one assist, Jonah Hoover, who also finished with one goal and one assist, Michael Straub, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, and Nico Vecchio, who also racked up one goal and one assist. More assists for Three Rivers came via Gavin Cummings and Tyler Stepke, who each chipped in one.

The Cherokee forced their penalty killing units to work especially hard during the game, picking up seven minors and one major for 29 minutes in penalty time. Toledo had been averaging 26.0 minutes in penalties per game.

The Cherokee were helped by Blake Podgorski, who tallied one goal and one assist. Podgorski scored 7:08 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Toledo. Jordan Prewitt provided the assist. Toledo additionally got points from Prewitt, who also finished with one goal and one assist. In addition, Toledo received assists from Brett Podgorski, who had one.

Three Rivers' Stepke stopped 23 shots out of the 25 that he faced. The Vengeance totaled 17 minutes in penalty time with six minors and one major and went 2-for-5 on the power play.
