The Peoria Mustangs relied on the sparkling performance of Michael Parda in net to grab a 2-1 win against the Queen City Steam.

Peoria was led by Austin Wisely, who had one goal. Wisely scored 13:11 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Peoria. Robert Norton picked up the assist.

Chance Homerin also scored for Peoria. In addition, Peoria received assists from Cory Kettler and Austin Fletcher, who each chipped in one.

Queen City put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Mustangs to score on any of their four power plays.

The Steam were led by John Bonta, who scored the team's only goal. Bonta scored 18:02 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Stephen Pack provided the assist.

Michael Parda made 29 saves for Peoria on 30 shots. The Mustangs incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Queen City's Zak Kemble stopped 23 shots out of the 25 that he faced. The Steam incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
