The Minnesota Flying Aces had trouble finding ways to stop the North Iowa Bulls, which beat Flying Aces, 5-2. North Iowa was led by Connor Langfield, who finished with one goal. Langfield scored on the power play 19:04 into the second period to make the score 3-2 North Iowa. A hooking penalty on Dylan Nelson had put the Bulls on the power play. Timothy Santopoalo provided the assist. North Iowa's offense rang up 39 shots on Minnesota's net. North Iowa also got points from Patrick Sivets, who also grabbed one goal and one assist and Kyle Krueger, who also had one goal and one assist. North Iowa also got a goal from Bryan Broders as well. More assists for North Iowa came via Jake Johnson, who had two and Ron Lindgren, Tony Paulson, James Hughes, and Aaron Davis, who contributed one a piece. The Bulls were unable to stop the Flying Aces from sending pucks towards the net, and Minnesota eventually piled up 43 shots on goal. The Flying Aces were helped by Brett Sorem, who registered one goal. Sorem scored 5:56 into the second period to make the score 2-1 North Iowa. Torin Foundos assisted on the tally. Payton Trammel also scored for Minnesota. In addition, Minnesota received assists from Alec Brandup, Chase Myers-Beck, and Logan Roszel, who each chipped in one. Aaron Davis made 41 saves for North Iowa on 43 shots. The Bulls incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors. Allen Patten recorded 34 saves for Minnesota. The Flying Aces incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
