The Peoria Mustangs relied on the sparkling performance of Michael Parda in net to grab a 4-1 win against the Quad City Jr. Flames. Peoria was paced by Levi Armstrong, who registered one goal. Armstrong scored 9:10 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Peoria. Clayton Layne picked up the assist. The Mustangs' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Quad City power plays. Cory Kettler also scored for Peoria. In addition, Peoria received assists from Austin Ziakas, who had two and Connor Millard, Chance Homerin, Max Finley, and Austin Fletcher, who contributed one a piece. Quad City forced Peoria goalie Parda to work between the pipes, taking 33 shots. The Jr. Flames were led by Peter Coppola, who scored the team's only goal. Coppola scored 9:34 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Peoria. Easton Halbert provided the assist. The Mustangs' Parda stopped 32 shots out of the 33 that he faced. Peoria totaled 17 minutes in penalty time with six minors and one major and went 1-for-4 on the power play. Jake Leon made 18 saves for Quad City on 22 shots.
