The Cleveland Jr. Lumberjacks and the Three Rivers Vengeance were evenly matched throughout their contest, but Cleveland made the most of its opportunities and won, 3-2. Neither team gained more than a one-goal lead, and Cameron Dimmitt's goal in the second period proved to be the difference maker. The Jr. Lumberjacks were sparked by Dimmitt, who racked up one goal. Dimmitt scored on the power play 11:34 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Cleveland. Cleveland had taken the advantage when Three Rivers' Michael Straub got sent off for interference. Fred West assisted on the tally. Cleveland additionally got points from West, who also registered one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Mike Palasics also scored for Cleveland.
