Huge game by McCammant boosts Queen City over Quad City, 6-3

Lucas McCammant was all over the ice for the Queen City Steam, as he tallied two goals and one assist in Queen City's 6-3 win over the Quad City Jr. Flames.

McCammant's tallies came at 8:09 into the third period to make the score 4-3 Queen City and 18:42 into the third to make the score 6-3 Queen City.

The Steam pulled out the victory even though they were hit with 12 penalty minutes.

Queen City excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in six chances. The Steam's offense rang up 35 shots on Quad City's net. Queen City bested its season scoring average. The Steam average 3.2 goals per game.

Queen City additionally got points from Stephen Pack, who also registered one goal and one assist, Devin Fracassi, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, and Damien Lona, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Kyle Johnson also scored for Queen City. Other players who recorded assists for Queen City were Mitch Blank and Henry Smith, who each chipped in one.

The Jr. Flames stifled Queen City's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

Quad City was helped by Easton Halbert, who had one goal. Halbert scored 16:31 into the second period to make the score 3-3. Clayton Janecke provided the assist. Quad City also got a goal from Joe Edwards as well. In addition, Quad City received assists from Nauris Buskevics, Peter Coppola, Colten Thiel, and Luke Dickinson, who contributed one a piece.

Zak Kemble rejected 27 shots on goal for the Steam. Queen City registered zero goals on six power play opportunities. Robby Vukelich recorded 29 saves for the Jr. Flames. Quad City incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
