Marshall, Twin City blank Breezy Point, 4-0

Sawyer Marshall was superb between the pipes for the Twin City Steel, as he did not allow a goal in a 4-0 victory over the Breezy Point North Stars.

Calvin Miska was all over the ice for Twin City, as he finished with two goals in the win. Miska found the back of the net 5:09 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Twin City and again while on the power play 1:25 into the third to make the score 3-0 Twin City.

The Steel were often in penalty trouble, totaling nine minors and two majors for 38 minutes in penalty time. Twin City surpassed its season average of 29.0 penalty minutes per game. The Steel's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on seven Breezy Point power plays. Twin City kept Breezy Point's goalie busy throughout the game, and Ian Shidlofsky made 29 saves on 33 shots.

Marvin Powell also scored for Twin City. In addition, Twin City received assists from Nick Cerrato, Trey Hughes, and Nicholas Schreiner, who each chipped in one and Noah Anderson and Brody Peterson, who contributed two a piece.

The the North Stars penalty box was a popular destination as the team totaled 12 minors and one major for 39 minutes in penalty time. Breezy Point had been averaging 21.0 minutes in penalties per game.

Sawyer Marshall made 26 saves for the Steel on 26 shots. Twin City registered two goals on eight power play opportunities. The Steel ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Schreiner was ejected from the game.
