The Cleveland Jr. Lumberjacks and the Metro Jets were evenly matched throughout their contest, but Cleveland made the most of its opportunities and won, 3-2.

Each team kept the other at bay throughout the game, and Fred West secured the win for the Jr. Lumberjacks with a goal in the third period.

Cleveland was led by West, who tallied one goal and one assist. West scored 13:57 into the third period to make the score 3-2 Cleveland. Scott Cuthrell picked up the assist.

The Jr. Lumberjacks managed to stay out of the box better than usual, finishing with one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Cleveland wound up below its season average of 15.0 penalty minutes per game. The Jr. Lumberjacks excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. Cleveland did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. The Jr. Lumberjacks put an average of 5.2 pucks into the net per game. Cleveland kept Metro's goalie busy throughout the game, and Austin Julvezan made 29 saves on 32 shots.

Andrew Mitch also scored for Cleveland. More assists for Cleveland came via Dallas Szustak, who had one.

The Jets were helped by Jeff Monfils, who racked up one goal and one assist. Monfils scored 17:01 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Andrew Palushaj provided the assist. Metro additionally got points from Doug Andrews, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. In addition, Metro received assists from Mike Gambino, who had one.

The Jr. Lumberjacks' Christan Michalik stopped 13 shots out of the 15 that he faced. Cleveland registered one goal on six power play opportunities. Metro incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
