The St. Louis Jr. Blues had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 7-2 win over the Quad City Jr. Flames. St. Louis was sparked by Mike Lozano, who tallied one goal. Lozano scored 8:30 into the second period to make the score 3-1 St. Louis. Trey Dodd picked up the assist. Quad City was unable to stop the Jr. Blues from sending pucks towards the net, and St. Louis eventually piled up 45 shots on goal. St. Louis additionally got points from Victor Gortz, who also registered two goals and one assist, Cody Guidorzi, who also had two goals and one assist to lead the team in points, and Brycon Johnson, who also racked up one goal and one assist. St. Louis also got a goal from Tommy Daniels as well. More assists for St. Louis came via Chris Brown, who had two and Kyle Meeh, Sam Turner, Kerry McGlynn, and Tyler Opilka, who contributed one a piece. The Jr. Flames were helped by Jason Hoehn, who tallied one goal. Hoehn scored on the power play 6:00 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Quad City earned a power play opportunity when Joey Luongo was put in the box for hooking. Jake Wynd provided the assist. Quad City also got points from Anthony Caroselli, who also registered one goal and one assist. In addition, Quad City received assists from Colten Thiel, who had one. Clint Steinmeyer recorded 27 saves for the Jr. Blues. St. Louis incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with nine minors. The Jr. Flames' Robby Vukelich stopped 38 shots out of the 45 that he faced. Quad City incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
