Huge game by Osowski boosts Flint over Michigan, 5-0

Edward Osowski had two goals and two assists to lead the Flint Jr. Generals to a 5-0 victory over the Michigan Mountain Cats.

Osowski's tallies came on the power play at 17:38 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Flint and 1:45 into the second to make the score 2-0 Flint.

Flint pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 22 penalty minutes.

The Jr. Generals' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on nine Michigan power plays. Flint's offense rang up 44 shots on Michigan's net.

Flint also got points from Eric Jones, who also had one goal and one assist, Austin Fletcher, who also racked up one goal and one assist, and Andrew Lay, who also registered one goal and three assists to lead the team in points. Other players who recorded assists for Flint were Adrain Larsson, Nicholas Goetel, and Adam Beuthin, who each chipped in one.

The Mountain Cats could not produce up to they normal offensive output. Michigan averages 2.5 goals per game.

Anders Franke rejected 17 shots on goal for the Jr. Generals. Flint registered three goals on eight power play opportunities. Dominic Juncaj recorded 39 saves for the Mountain Cats. Michigan incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with 10 minors.
