West leads Cleveland over Battle Creek, 10-2

Fred West was all over the ice for the Cleveland Jr. Lumberjacks, as he tallied one goal and five assists in Cleveland's 10-2 win over the Battle Creek Revolution.

West beat Hughes with a shot 16:28 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Cleveland. Scott Cuthrell picked up the assist. West dished an assist on Cameron Dimmitt's goal that made the score 1-1 at 10:43 into the first period. He then added assists on Dimmitt's goal at 2:11 into the second, on Cuthrell's goal at 8:54 into the second, on Dimmitt's goal at 18:52 into the second, and on Cuthrell's goal at 1:43 into the third.

The Jr. Lumberjacks pulled out the victory even though they were hit with 24 penalty minutes.

Battle Creek was unable to stop Cleveland from sending pucks towards the net, and the Jr. Lumberjacks eventually piled up 40 shots on goal. Cleveland surpassed its usual scoring output this season. The Jr. Lumberjacks have scored at the pace of 5.6 goals per game during the current campaign.

Cleveland also got points from Cuthrell, who also finished with three goals and three assists, Mike Palasics, who also registered one goal and one assist, and Dimmitt, who also had three goals and three assists. Cleveland also got a goal from Toms Taurins as well. Other players who recorded assists for Cleveland were Jared Johnson, who had two and Ryan Wandzel, Andrew Mitch, Pat Smith, and Dallas Szustak, who each chipped in one.

Team could not crack Cleveland's penalty kill and was held to one power play goal while having nine opportunities to play with the man advantage.

The Revolution were helped by Joey Lioy, who grabbed one goal and one assist. Lioy scored 46 seconds into the first period to make the score 1-0 Battle Creek. Derek Dodge assisted on the tally. Michael Schmitt also scored for Battle Creek. In addition, Battle Creek received assists from murphy mike, who had two.

David Heflin took the win and made 19 saves before being replaced by Nick Danczak who made four saves. The Jr. Lumberjacks registered one goal on four power play opportunities. Hughes recorded 30 saves for Battle Creek. The Revolution incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
