Ramstead leads North Iowa over Breezy Point, 14-3

Behind a great game by Jared Ramstead, who had two goals and three assists, the North Iowa Bulls defeated the Breezy Point North Stars, 14-3.

Ramstead scored at 1:28 into the first period to make the score 1-0 North Iowa and again while 9:48 into the second to make the score 9-1 North Iowa.

North Iowa pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 40 penalty minutes.

The Bulls made North Stars' goaltenders to work all game long, launching 49 shots and forcing 35 saves. Grant Holler made six stops and Ian Shidlofsky made 29. North Iowa surpassed its usual scoring output this season. This season, the Bulls average 6.3 goals per contest.

North Iowa additionally got points from Jake Johnson, who also tallied one goal and two assists, Patrick Sivets, who also had two goals and one assist, Kyle Krueger, who also registered one goal and one assist, Matt Kroska, who also racked up one goal and one assist, James Hughes, who also registered two goals and two assists, Timothy Santopoalo, who also had one goal and three assists, and Conor Jonasson, who also tallied two goals and one assist. Eric Behrend also scored for North Iowa. More assists for North Iowa came via Ron Lindgren and Tyler Richison, who contributed one a piece and Connor Langfield and Taylor Brown, who each chipped in two.

Breezy Point had trouble converting on the power play advantage, managing just one goal on nine chances. The North Stars could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 28 minutes in penalties during the game.

Breezy Point also got a goal from Kyle Pacheco as well. Other players who recorded assists for Breezy Point were Jared Naeve, Bryson Jasper, and Kyle Eberwein, who contributed one a piece.

Joseph Moza recorded 22 saves for North Iowa. The Bulls registered two goals on eight power play opportunities.
