Minnesota beats Breezy Point 2-0 as TakaHashi gains shutout

Yasu TakaHashi made 28 saves to complete the shutout and led the Minnesota Flying Aces to a 2-0 win against the Breezy Point North Stars.

Minnesota was led by Tomohiko Minase, who registered one goal. Minase scored 10:18 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Minnesota. Brett Sorem provided the assist.

The Flying Aces put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Breezy Point to score on any of its three power plays. Minnesota's defensive play was more effective than usual against the North Stars. The Flying Aces gives up 2.6 goals on average per game. Minnesota forced Breezy Point goalie Grant Holler to work between the pipes, taking 33 shots.

Minnesota also got a goal from Jared Sprink as well. Other players who recorded assists for Minnesota were Mark Dryer and Alex Yde, who contributed one a piece.

The North Stars could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 28 minutes in penalties during the game.

The Flying Aces incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with 10 minors. Grant Holler made 31 saves for Breezy Point on 33 shots.
