A hat trick by Alexander Turin was the highlight in Mustangs' 5-0 win against the Breezy Point North Stars. Turin's first goal came 6:17 into the first period. He then added goals at 16:23 into the second and at 16:56 into the second.Matthew Pinel frustrated Breezy Point's offense all game, and stopped 28 shots en route to a shutout. Pinel certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 2.01 entering the contest. The Peoria Mustangs put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the North Stars to score on any of their three power plays. Breezy Point was unable to stop Peoria from sending pucks towards the net, and the Mustangs eventually piled up 51 shots on goal. Peoria also got a goal from Joe Lampman as well. More assists for Peoria came via Brennan Anderson, who had three and Nikolas Sakellaropoulos, Levi Armstrong, and Brendan Murphy, who contributed one a piece. The North Stars found themselves short handed often, totaling 34 penalty minutes and allowing 10 power plays. Peoria incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Breezy Point's Grant Holler stopped 46 shots out of the 51 that he faced.
