Cody Fedak gave the St. Louis Jr. Blues the lead in the first period, and the Queen City Steam was never able to catch up in a close game that ended 3-1. A goal 19:14 into the the first period by Fedak proved to be the game winner, and powered St. Louis to the victory Devin Mayer provided the assist.The Jr. Blues were led by Mike Lozano, who racked up one goal. Lozano scored short handed 17:23 into the second period to make the score 2-0 St. Louis. St. Louis played down a man on Trey Dodd's tripping. Kyle Meeh assisted on the tally. The Jr. Blues excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. St. Louis could not produce up to it normal offensive output. The Jr. Blues average 5.9 goals per game. St. Louis' offense rang up 46 shots on Queen City's net. St. Louis also got a goal from Tyler Opilka as well. In addition, St. Louis received assists from Justin Rehrer, who had one. The Steam put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Jr. Blues to score on any of their five power plays. Queen City was led by Damien Lona, who scored the team's only goal. Lona scored 5:59 into the third period to make the score 2-1 St. Louis. Stephen Pack provided the assist. Mikael Broliden rejected 16 shots on goal for St. Louis. The Jr. Blues incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Adam Eno recorded 43 saves for the Steam. Queen City incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
