Ian Eckland finished with one point to lead the Alexandria Blizzard to a 2-0 victory over the Quad City Jr. Flames.

Alexandria put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Quad City to score on any of its three power plays. The Jr. Flames were unable to stop the Blizzard from sending pucks towards the net, and Alexandria eventually piled up 37 shots on goal.

Alexandria also got a goal from Bryce Mitzel as well. More assists for Alexandria came via Garrett Skinner, Terry Leabo, Mick Dhein, and Tanner Duffney, who each chipped in one.

Quad City excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances.

Kyle Miller made 19 saves for the Blizzard on 19 shots. Alexandria ended with 25 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major. The Jr. Flames' Jake Leon stopped 35 shots out of the 37 that he faced. Quad City ended with 15 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major.
