Metro boosted by Kalinowski's play in net, beats Battle Creek 6-1

Trevor Kalinowski stood on his head and made 31 saves to lead the Metro Jets to a 6-1 victory over the Battle Creek Revolution.

Jeff Monfils was all over the ice for Metro, as he racked up two goals in the win. Monfils found the back of the net 11:36 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Metro and again while 10:36 into the second to make the score 5-0 Metro.

The Jets pulled out the victory even though they were hit with 14 penalty minutes.

Metro kept Battle Creek's goalie busy throughout the game, and Hughes made 38 saves on 44 shots.

Metro also got points from Travis Hargett, who also had two goals and one assist. Metro also got a goal from Ryan Chapie as well. In addition, Metro received assists from Alex Holm, who had two, Matt Stirling, who had three, Doug Andrews, who had four, and Tim Foley and Mike Gambino, who each chipped in one.

The Jets were unable to stop the Revolution from sending pucks towards the net, and Battle Creek eventually piled up 32 shots on goal.

Metro registered one goal on three power play opportunities. The Revolution incurred 28 minutes in penalty time with four minors.
