Behind a great game by Doug Andrews, who had two goals and two assists, the Metro Jets defeated the Battle Creek Revolution, 10-4. Andrews found the back of the net 7:36 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Metro and again while on the power play 4:48 into the second to make the score 5-0 Metro.Metro forced Battle Creek's netminders to work in net, taking 46 shots and forcing 36 saves. Jackson Steltmann made 29 stops and Trevor Beck made seven. Metro additionally got points from Ryan Chapie, who also finished with two goals and two assists, Kyle Shreve, who also racked up one goal and one assist, Matt Stirling, who also tallied one goal and two assists, Jeff Monfils, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, and Mike Gambino, who also tallied one goal and three assists to lead the team in points. Metro also got a goal from Travis Hargett as well. More assists for Metro came via Tim Foley, who had two and Derek Britton, Thomas Evans, and Chris Mayer, who each chipped in one. The Revolution struggled to stay out of the sin bin throughout the game as they finished the game with 31 penalty minutes for six opposing power plays. Battle Creek was helped by Joey Lioy, who registered two goals. Lioy scored the first of his two goals at 2:40 into the third period to make the score 8-2 Metro. Eric Stewart picked up the assist. Lioy's next tally made the score 9-3 Metro with 6:54 left in the third period. A roughing penalty on Monfils had put the Revolution on the power play. Joshua Kimber provided the assist. Battle Creek also got points from Kimber, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Zach Rees also scored for Battle Creek. In addition, Battle Creek received assists from Austin Hill, Zachary Mabie, Conner Westbrook, and James Romberger, who contributed one a piece. The Jets' Trevor Kalinowski stopped 23 shots out of the 27 that he faced. Metro incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with 10 minors. Battle Creek registered two goals on seven power play opportunities. For the Revolution, Eric Tucker was ejected from the game.
