The Cleveland Jr. Lumberjacks were firing on all cylinders against the Three Rivers Vengeance, and when the final buzzer sounded Jr. Lumberjacks emerged with a 5-1 win. Cleveland was paced by Kyle DeVault, who racked up one goal. DeVault scored 2:50 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Cleveland. Jake Roeper assisted on the tally. The Jr. Lumberjacks kept Three Rivers' goalie busy throughout the game, and Tyler Stepke made 28 saves on 33 shots. Cleveland also had goals scored by Toms Taurins, who had one and Scott Cuthrell, who had three. In addition, Cleveland received assists from Mike Palasics, Cameron Dimmitt, and Jared Johnson, who each chipped in one and Andrew Mitch and Fred West, who contributed two a piece. The Vengeance were led by Michael Straub, who scored the team's only goal. Straub scored on the power play 16:11 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Cleveland.
