Minot downs Coulee Region, 5-2

The Minot Minotauros won 5-2 over the Coulee Region Chill.

Minot excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. The Minotauros found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. Minot has scored at the pace of 2.7 goals per game during the current campaign. With 36 shots on target during the contest, the Minotauros exceeded the 22.5 shots they average per game this year.

Minot was helped by Lucas Oliver, who finished with one goal. Oliver scored 11:36 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Minot. Cameron Rowat provided the assist. Minot additionally got points from Jerry Laakso, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Minot also had goals scored by Zack Holstrom, who had one and Denis Dalidovich, who had two. Other players who recorded assists for Minot were Scott Dornbrock, Jadin Martin, and Brett Bukowski, who contributed one a piece and Jake OBorsky and Mason Morelli, who each chipped in two.

Coulee Region relied on a core group of players for most of its offense, as Kevin Becker, Mac Jansen and Hunter Anderson took 20 of the team's 34 shots.

More assists for Coulee Region came via Brady Riesgraf, James McGing, and Andy Faust, who contributed one a piece.

Ryan Ruck recorded 32 saves for the Minotauros. Minot incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors. The Chill's Tim Shaughnessy stopped 31 shots out of the 35 that he faced. Coulee Region incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
