The Michigan Warriors gutted out a close 4-2 win against the Springfield Jr. Blues. Michigan gained the winning advantage on a goal by Jake Hopfner 10:29 into the second period and hung on until final buzzer. The Warriors were led by Colin Larkin, who finished with one goal. Larkin scored on the power play 16:32 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Michigan. Michigan had gotten the advantage when Springfield's Alex Baskakov was sent off for fighting. Jake Faiella assisted on the tally. The Warriors' offense was clicking better than usual and put 37 shots on goal during the game, better than the 27.0 shots per game they average. Michigan also got a goal from Zack Szajner as well. Other players who recorded assists for Michigan were Mitchell Wedding and Martin Gruse, who contributed one a piece.
