Kenai River falls to Wenatchee in overtime, 4-3 (OT)

Joseph Sullivan gave the Wenatchee Wild a 4-3 (OT) victory over the Kenai River Brown Bears when he scored 1:49 into the extra period.

Wenatchee came back from a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. The Wild trailed 3-1 after a goal by Kenai River's Matt Seidel at 6:47 in the second period. Wenatchee knotted things up at 3-3 on a goal by Max McHugh at 14:52 in the third period.

McHugh was all over the ice for the Wild, as he tallied one goal and two assists in the win.

Wenatchee excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. The Wild's offense rang up 31 shots on the Brown Bears' net.

Wenatchee additionally got points from Jono Davis, who also registered one goal and two assists. Jacob Barber also scored for Wenatchee. In addition, Wenatchee received assists from David Mead and Blake Butzow, who contributed one a piece.

With 31 shots on target during the contest, Kenai River exceeded the 25.3 shots it averages per game this year.

Kenai River also got a goal from Alec Butcher as well. Other players who recorded assists for Kenai River were Jacob Davidson, Dylan Meier, and Albin Karlsson, who each chipped in one.

Robert Nichols made 28 saves for Wenatchee on 31 shots. The Wild incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Marcus Zelzer recorded 27 saves for the Brown Bears. Kenai River incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
