Gaffney's big game bests Wichita Falls in 3-1 Topeka win

The Topeka RoadRunners' Sean Gaffney had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing one assist in his team's 3-1 win over the Wichita Falls Wildcats.

Gaffney found the back of the net 16:40 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Topeka and again while 19:18 into the third to make the score 3-1 Topeka.

Topeka also got a goal from Tyler Andrew as well. In addition, Topeka received assists from Michal Pastor, who had one and Kyle Sharkey, who had two.

Wichita Falls was below its usual level of shot production, taking 19 shots compared to the 28.4 the Wildcats average. Wichita Falls could not produce up to it normal offensive output. The Wildcats average 3.1 goals per game.

Wichita Falls was led by Eliot Grauer, who scored the team's only goal. Grauer scored 9:34 into the second period to make the score 1-1. O'Neal L picked up the assist.

Mackenzie Sawyer recorded 18 saves for Topeka. The RoadRunners incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. The Wildcats' Evan Cowley stopped 18 shots out of the 20 that he faced. Wichita Falls incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
