Wenatchee downs Fresno, 3-0

Joseph Sullivan finished with one point to lead the Wenatchee Wild to a 3-0 victory over the Fresno Monsters.

Wenatchee put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Fresno to score on any of its four power plays. The Wild's defensive play was more effective than usual against the Monsters. Wenatchee gives up 2.3 goals on average per game. Fresno was unable to stop the Wild from sending pucks towards the net, and Wenatchee eventually piled up 31 shots on goal.

Wenatchee also got a goal from Chris Jones as well. More assists for Wenatchee came via Joshua Hartley, Chris Kerr, Noah Nelson, Jacob Barber, Tyler Bruneteau, and Trace Redmond, who each chipped in one.

The Monsters' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Wenatchee power plays. Fresno's offense operated below it season average. The Monsters average 2.4 goals per game. Fresno's offense was clicking better than usual and put 24 shots on goal during the game, better than the 19.1 shots per game it averages. The Monsters' defensemen also contributed in the offensive zone and ended up with 10 shots between them.

Fresno was led by Kyle Sucher, who took four shots.

Robert Nichols rejected 24 shots on goal for the Wild. Wenatchee incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Tomas Sholl made 28 saves for the Monsters on 31 shots. Fresno incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
