Coulee Region penalty kill dominates in 6-3 defeat of AberdeenOdde Ice Center Sat, Jan 05, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
The Aberdeen Wings failed to take advantage of their power play opportunities and the Coulee Region Chill shook off a number of penalties to win, 6-3. Coulee Region surpassed its usual scoring output this season. The Chill average 2.6 goals per game. Coulee Region was helped by Garrett Hendrickson, who registered one goal and two assists. Hendrickson scored 6:57 into the third period to make the score 5-1 Coulee Region. Matt Williams provided the assist. Coulee Region also got points from Cory Lushanko, who also finished with one goal and one assist, Jesse Tredinnick, who also racked up one goal and one assist, Adam Lovick, who also tallied one goal and one assist, and Williams, who also registered one goal and two assists. Mac Jansen also scored for Coulee Region. More assists for Coulee Region came via Jimmy Kortum, who had two. The 45 shots that Aberdeen put on net surpassed the Wings' average of 27.8 shots per game this season. Aberdeen was helped by Peter Krieger, who grabbed one goal. Krieger scored 11:04 into the third period to make the score 5-3 Coulee Region. Tanner Holmquist assisted on the tally. Aberdeen additionally got points from Jonathan Grebosky, who also had one goal and one assist. Aberdeen also got a goal from Patrick Steinhauser as well.
