The Corpus Christi IceRays survived a determined comeback attempt by the Odessa Jackalopes on the way to a 5-4 win. Corpus Christi took a 5-2 lead during the second period, only to have Odessa storm back on a Jimmy Peplinski goal 19:56 into the third period to pull to one goal down. Beau Walker had one goal and four assists to lead the IceRays. Walker scored on the power play 19:37 into the second period to make the score Corpus Christi. Corpus Christi earned a power play opportunity when Austin Ho was put in the box for tripping. AJ Jarosz picked up the assist. The IceRays was not heavily penalized during the game, and finished with seven minors and one major totalling 19 minutes. Corpus Christi fell short of the 25.0 minutes average penalties per game.
