Wahlin nets hat trick, leads Austin to 6-3 win over Coulee RegionRiverside Mon, Dec 31, 2012 Story by Narrative Science.
Brandon Wahlin lifted the Austin Bruins to a 6-3 victory with a hat trick against the Coulee Region Chill. Wahlin's first goal came 23 seconds into the second period. He then added goals at 4:11 into the third and at 9:50 into the third.Austin surpassed its usual scoring output this season. The Bruins average 3.8 goals per game. By firing 43 shots on goal, Austin exceeded the 27.2 shots it averages per game this year. Austin additionally got points from Chris Fischer, who also had one goal and one assist and CJ Smith, who also racked up one goal and two assists. Austin also got a goal from Kody Reuter as well. In addition, Austin received assists from Cody Dixon, who had two, AJ Reid, who had three, and Drew Anderson and Scott Nelson, who contributed one a piece. The Bruins incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Devin Kero rejected 37 shots on goal for Coulee Region. The Chill incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
