Minot blows out Coulee Region, 4-1Maysa Arena Sat, Nov 24, 2012 Story by Narrative Science.
The Minot Minotauros were firing on all cylinders against the Coulee Region Chill, and when the final buzzer sounded Minotauros emerged with a 4-1 win. Minot was paced by Wesley Iverson, who racked up one goal and one assist. Iverson scored 5:21 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Minot. Jake OBorsky picked up the assist. The Minotauros excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. The 39 shots that Minot put on net surpassed the Minotauros' average of 22.7 shots per game this season. Others who scored for Minot included Beau Ricketts, who had one and Jadin Martin, who had two. More assists for Minot came via Chance Crregger, Paul Sorenson, David Dalbec, and Collin Abitz, who contributed one a piece. Coulee Region was led by Matt Williams, who scored the team's only goal. Williams scored 14:53 into the third period to make the score 3-1 Minot. Tyler Parks rejected 23 shots on goal for Minot. The Minotauros totaled 13 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major and went 1-for-4 on the power play. The Chill took out Devin Kero after he had made 14 saves and installed Blake Cates in goal, where he finished with 21 saves and the loss. Coulee Region ended with 25 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major.
